
Lit for Literacy

Lit for Literacy is a fun and interactive series of events used to address the literacy gap for children in grade levels pre-k through third grade to promote a love for reading and help build in home libraries by increasing opportunities for access to books in underserved communities.
The Goal of Lit for Literacy

Increase access to books in underserved communities

Increase public awareness around the importance of having access to books and literacy resources

Support the efforts of grade level reading for children by the 3rd grade level
Lit for Literacy is created to address the literacy gap for youth, grade levels pre-k through third grade, residing in under served communities.
Lit for Literacy serves North, South, East, and West Houston areas that are impacted by low literacy levels, low income, or low access to quality books.
